Josefine trains at Allstars Training Center in Solna, Stockholm, which is known to be one of the world’s leading Martial Arts gyms.

Her head coach is Sanja Trbojevic, who started training Josefine in Muaythai since day one when Josefine came to Allstars. Trbojevic herself has trained and fought professionally in Muaythai before she started training Josefine, as she became a World Champion herself in Muaythai year 2011. Trbojevic is training Josefine mostly in her striking but has eyes for the whole MMA – game aswell.

When Josefine transitioned to Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), her team has only expanded with more proffesional coaches in the whole division of MMA. When Josefine explored MMA as the new game, Andreas Michael also became one of Josefines head coaches in MMA. Michael is the gym owner aswell head coach of MMA at Allstars, togheter with several other coaches in their own MMA- elements. Michael was also, since many years ago, the head coach of the olympic boxing team of Sweden, before he opened his own gym Allstars Training Center with all of the Mixed Martial Arts disciplines.

Michael, as Josefines second head coach, is training Josefine specifically in the boxing game, but has eyes for the whole MMA- game aswell the physical training for what it takes in MMA. He is the head coach for UFC -Stars as Alexander Gustafsson, Reza Maddog, Daniel and David Teymur (Teymur brothers,) and now recently Khamzat Chimaev, togheter with grappling coach Alan Finou. Finfou is Josefines grappling coach who is not only a trainer and coach, but multiply BJJ World Champion (IBJJF, CBJJO) many years in a row.

Mohammad Babadivand is also one of Josefines MMA- trainers who has his specialty in the MMA-defence game, what so called ”anti-grappling game” which is to defend strikers, especially, from being taken down to the ground in the fighting of MMA. Babadivand has also huge experience in the grappling game aswell since he has been training and fighting BJJ for many years. Babadivand himself were a professional MMA- fighter with a record of 6-0 undefeated before his career changed to become a trainer at Allstars Training Center.

Babadivand has been in Josefines fighting corner since her first MMA- debut.

Josefine faced Ye Dam Seo (South Korea,) on a ”Road to UFC” event in Singapore, June 10th,
2022 and won the bout via unanimous decision.

Round one
Tentative introduction from Thunder where she controls the distance in the cage.
She lands a heavy leg kick about a minute into the round before Seo dives for the takedown, but Josefine sprawls hard and shuts down the takedown attempt. They end up in the clinch where Thunder look for gaps to sneak in attacks. Something she succeeds in.

Round two
Thunder starts more aggressively and it slams before Seo tries to take down again,
but Josefine is far too strong in the clinch.
Seo ends up on the ground and Josefine sends an illegal knee to the head.

She stops herself a bit in the movement, however, which means that she gets away with a verbal warning and not a point deduction.

The round resumes and Seo is desperate to get a takedown. But Thunder is strong in the clinch and punishes with knees.

”…As they separate a bit Josefine lands a proper head kick that lands cleanly, but Seo stays.

Halfway into the round, Josefine gets a takedown from the clinch, she lands in Seo’s guard.
She controls the position and puts in some ground and pound, but she is still vigilant in not giving too big gaps defensively. Thunder passes to half guard and lands a few more punches before the round ends.

Round three
”Thunder takes the center of the cage in round 3 as well. It’s sometimes a bit wait-and-see, but once they get within range,
Thunder sends out heavy attacks. Seo really gets nothing done. Seo goes for the takedown but Josefine stops it and ends up on top herself briefly where she lands a bunch of smaller punches to Seo’s face. Then they end up to the clinch.

Josefine has complete control in the match.

She has then been fighting in Muaythai and K1 (kickboxing) on an amateur and professional level for 7 years before she later transitioned to Mixed martial Arts at the age of 24, inspired by her other MMA-clubmates.
